Signature Event: Macro Party

Join fellow attendees from across the global microphysiological systems community for the Macro Party, one of the conference’s signature social events. After a full day of scientific sessions, the evening shifts to a lively atmosphere designed for celebration, networking, and connecting with colleagues from across academia, industry, and regulatory agencies.

With music, dancing, and plenty of opportunities to mingle, the Macro Party is a chance to continue conversations from the conference while enjoying a fun night with the community. Whether you are reconnecting with collaborators or meeting new peers in the field, it is one of the most memorable gatherings of the week.
Conference participants are welcome to attend and may also bring a guest. Please note that the Macro Party requires the purchase of a separate ticket, and guest tickets must also be purchased in advance. Conference badge is required for entry. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance.

Run Club

Location: Courtyard Marriott Washington DC Convention Center Lobby
Start your day with fresh air and great company by joining fellow conference attendees for the Morning Run Group. This informal meet-up offers a chance to get moving before the day’s sessions begin while connecting with others in the community who enjoy running.
Participants will gather in the morning for a group run at a comfortable, conversational pace. Whether you are a regular runner or simply looking for an energizing way to begin the day, all experience levels are welcome.
The run is a casual, participant-led activity intended to encourage wellness and networking outside the formal conference program. Attendees are encouraged to bring appropriate running gear and join for as much or as little of the run as they wish.
Twilight Stroll on the National Mall
Date: Thursday, May 28, 2026
Time: 7:30 PM–9:30 PM
Location: Meet up at the Convention Center Info Desk
Experience Washington, DC’s most iconic landmarks at one of the most beautiful times of day. Join fellow attendees for a guided walk along the National Mall led by a volunteer from the conference’s Local Organizing Committee. As daylight fades and the monuments begin to glow, this informal group outing offers a unique opportunity to take in the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and other historic sites while connecting with colleagues outside the conference program. Walking together through the heart of the nation’s capital provides a memorable way to experience the city while continuing conversations with fellow attendees. This is a casual group activity open to conference participants. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
