Tuesday May 31, 2022 in New Orleans 9 am – 11:45 am CST
The education and training session of the first Microphysiological Systems World Summit is designed to educate the next generation of scientists in the field of Organ-on-Chip and Microphysiological systems (MPS) through a hands-on experience. The meeting participants will be able to attend a 3-hours session tailored to engage students and trainees in a constructive discussion around MPSs technology and its applications. During the session, the participants will attend up to 4 presentations and demonstrations from world class leaders in the field of MPS. Participants will have a unique opportunity to networking by interacting directly with international speakers and with each other in small groups (up to 8 people) as well as to receive a hands-on training on use of some of the most cutting-edge MPS technologies. Each training session will last up to 30 minutes and will allow for extensive discussion with the speaker.
Presenters:
1. Lessons Learned Engineering MPS platforms as a Physiologist
Jenn Fang, Tulane University, USA and Will Bralower, Aracari Biosciences, USA
2. The Translational Organ-on-Chip Platform (TOP), an open platform for modular interfacing of organs-on-chips
